As of yesterday the Holiday Catalogue was released and OMG Stampin’ Up! has out done themselves this year. The amount of amazing stuff in here is hard to choose from and over the coming weeks I will show you some of my favourites that I have been able to play with early for being a demonstrator.

I just love the Petal Promenade DSP (Designer Series Paper). As you don’t need to add much to make a WOW item as you can see from the little notepads i covered.
The measurements for notepads vary depending what size your covering. To work out the size of cardstock for the notepads, you will need to measure the length, width and height. I add 0.5cm for the front to allow you to easily pick the cover up and to secure the cover to the notepad’s back i generally allow about 3cm to 5cm. On these notepads i added an extra 5cm to the length of notepads to allow for the lip, fold and back cover. Once you have measured the size you can then work out what type of cover you want, whether it is using DSP to make it pop or by adding a few more dimensions and stamps.

Recently i created some post it note holders using En Route, High Tide stamp set, Nature’s Poems DSP (designer series paper), In-Colour DSP and matching cardstock and ink.
The measurements were from Angie Leach another Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator from her November 2016 blog post. She also has a wonderful video to watch to make sure you are scoring in the right spot.
The little pens and post it note holders used to finish the holders were bought at Cheap as Chips, I keep an eye out for new items they have in their stationary section when i go shopping as they always have different items available. Your also able to buy from other shops but i like looking in the cheap shops as they can have some unique items to put together with Stampin’ Up! products.

I’ve been using the dies the last week to create borders around quotes for notepads, they just add a bit more detail to make the quotes stand out. I really wish i had ordered them myself earlier as they are great bundle to have, but as you know i will still be using them after August even though you can’t purchase them anymore to show just how well old and new items work together.

I felt like making a rainbow cat card the other week and this is the creation I came up with.
I did see a card done with a similar design however I can’t find the original post to give credit (if this is you please let me know) i see a lot of creations in different groups I’m apart of online but unless i save the project i can never seem to find where my ideas start from.
The rainbow was using the 2018-2019 In-Colours ink pad and the splatter stamp from swirly bird stamp set
The cats were punched out using the cat punch with basic black and whisper white cardstock to get the shadow effect. Eyes and nose of the cats were stamped using the foxy friends stamp set with tuxedo black memento ink pad.
The saying was from Rooted in Nature stamp set with tuxedo black memento ink on whisper white cardstock. I then cut the end with the triple banner punch.
I layered the pieces on the new Blueberry Bushel cardstock to give just bit more of a colour pop before adhering it to thick whisper white cardstock.
When it was finished I realised it needed something else to make it pop. Out came the Wink of Stella to put a bit of bling on the cats and the banner.

Do you have trouble making cards for males? I know i do but I saw a card created by another Stampin’ Up! demonstrator but i didn’t save the name of who created it (sorry if this was you please let me know as i would love to give you credit) that was a perfect cheeky card to make for a friends birthday.
The bra is the big hot air balloon die from Up & Away thinlits with retired glimmer paper, the solid colour was hand cut and glued behind to add a pop of colour.
As you would have seen previously i use retired products that i have on hand because i know my customers and other crafty people don’t stop using an item when it stops being in a catalogue and it shows that you can create with new and old products at the same time.
On these cards the other retired products i used are the happy birthday from Sassy Salutations stamp set, little flower punch from itty bitty shapes punch pack and silver ribbon.
